Education Minister Kicks of National Book Fair on Koh Pich

PHNOM PENH: Minister of Education Hang Chuon Naron said that this year’s 10th National Book Fair will be a cultural venue for the promotion of writing and reading in the 21st century.

He recalled Cambodia’s ancient history, which left more than 2,000 inscriptions. He said the country continued to promote a wide range of literature until into the 1960’s.

The Minister hopes that the Book Fair will promote writing and reading that analyzes writers' perspectives in order to acquire skills and create something new.

The inauguration ceremony of the 2023 National Book Fair was held under the theme "Master in Writing, Grow in Reading, Rise in Knowledge" on December 14. The event runs until December 17 at the garden in from of Koh Pich Hall where about 300 stalls are displaying thousands of books.
